issue 001 february 2026

it has been quite a bountiful and music-filled month for me! started off the month listening to some dutch interior, who opened for this is lorelai like a month ago (and I missed it...kicking myself). they're a nice mid-winter touch, a bit alt-country heartbroken (paging wilco), kind of like sun on soft snow but audibly if that makes any sense.

as for other news... i am still the biggest cameron winter fan out there. i have been listening to geese on repeat since september (BEFORE GETTING KILLED CAME OUT I AM AN OG..) hear that? i listened to heavy metal last JANUARY. i am a real fan bitch. but seriously, i believe cameron is the new voice of a generation and a genius, etc. etc. and geese is so fantastic. they were great on snl, and their new tiny desk is as phenomenal as everything else they've put out.

hemlocke springs recently released an album. i remember knowing who she was in 2023 when girlfriend came out, but i am convinced that she will be a hit in a year or two. i heard this album described as "kate-bush-esque" which I can kind of get behind, but really hemlocke just does her own thing and is unapologetically a weird pop girl, the next chappell roan if we're really being honest. she's got such a presence and her own sound, and original sounding music is what i'm all about. it's purely her. place your bets now....
